Beehive hosts Craftacular 6!

Craftacular is an inclusive craft show that hosts all kinds of local talent, giving Vancouver the opportunity to enjoy some beautiful, often unusual creations. Come by the Beehive December 11th and peruse the handmade wares.... Also, there will be a cash bar. Crafts and booze! Together at last.

We are so excited to be featuring the art of Katherine Coe!
Please join us at the opening of the show this Monday night at 8pm.
We will have the usual accouterments.

Warm Clothes, Blankets and Boot Drive at the Beehive

It is supposed to be a very cold winter here in Vancouver.
So, the Beehive is hosting a drive to collect any warm clothes, hats, scarves, coats, blankets and boots to give to those who would otherwise go without.

The BOOTS will be donated to an organization called 'Homeless Shoes', fixed-up and given to one of many giving societys in town.

The WARM COATS, BLANKETS and other bits and pieces will be taken weekly down to the good people at the Kettle Friendship Society who'll see to it that they go to folks who need to keep warm this winter.

So bring your donations by the Beehive!
To your next appoitment, or just stop in any time during shop hours!
There must be something you can spare!

EP Island!

Debra has just recently returned to the Beehive from a course at the very prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, England! She had an amazing time on her trip and is so very inspired. You can read her blog here for details on her journey and photos of her experience at the academy.

It appears to us that across the influential fashion houses for SS11, going blonde is a common thread (no pun intended?)

Everywhere from super natural, beachy blondes to super platinum 70's glam.

(If you're thinking about blonde-ing it up this spring/summer, but not sure if you're ready to take the plunge, you can always book a free 15 minute colour consultation with your stylist, or chat about it whilst getting your hair cut!)

Thanks to everyone who attended our Grand Opening party last night! In addition to it being our shop-warming party, it was also the first art show at our new location. (In case you missed it and didn't mean to, Liam's art will be hanging in the shop until March.)

We had art, laughs, drinks, a cake with bumblebees on, and a stellar dj.
It was a lot of fun!

The PARTY IS ON!

We've been threatening an opening party of our Fraser Street space since before we began construction... And now the date is set and we hope to see you there!

One of the things we really wanted for the new shoppe was to be able to host art shows... So with this party we're also having our very first ART OPENING!!!! Featuring the work of LIAM HOGAN. (The work will debut on the 5th, but will be hanging for a month, in case you can't make the party.)

We are so happy in our new home and we hope you'll come celebrate with us!
